I started this older ufo in February as a side project for the rainbow scrap challenge. The color of the month was pink. I made it this far by the end of February, and, decided to use it each month, if I finished the regular color of the month projects. I had rows by the end of March. I had a top by the end of June.
It is finally quilted and bound.

read moreI had time this week to raw edge applique the daisies for girlie garden, and, assemble the quilt top. I had added it to my rainbow scrap challenge list in February, when, I had extra time from my other projects and the color was pink. It is an older ufo in pink, that, I could finish, if, I had time each month. It is June, and, I am almost ready to quilt it. It has been slow going, since I have stayed busy with my regular rsc projects.
I made progress on girlie garden at my Saturday open sew with my quilt guild. I needed to trim all the blocks before I could start piecing the rows.
Here is as far as I could get with my pink bonus rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy for February. I cut the blocks from the strip sets....
I sliced them twice on the diagonal to make triangles.
The plan was to go as far as I could by the end of the month, and get back to my regularly scheduled program. But, I don't think I can do that. I can smell a finish, and, I may want to keep going. My rsc projects are quicker this year than usual, and, I may leave it for March bonus ...
read moreI finished early with my pink rsc projects for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. So, I perused the Ufo list for a mostly pink project. I have a few of them. I had added a few to my ufos expecting to have granddaughters. But, out of 12 Grandchildren, I only have 2 and they are nearly grown.

I have made HSTS for fish school/ kismet in pink for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. hmmm
When I said I was going to keep the rainbow projects simple this year, I may have reduced the projects tooo much. Time to reconsider for the year.
